Specialized Copyediting offers quality copyediting for all American and foreign companies, organizations, and individuals. I work with any general subject matter. However, I do have a few particular areas of expertise:

BUSINESS AND FINANCE: Clear and to-the-point writing geared to your audience is key to getting your message across, especially if the text includes financial concepts and numbers. I have written and edited for high-level business executives on hard financial topics as well as on general business topics.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE: When English is not your first language, even if you are a qualified translator, mistakes in word choice and idiomatic usage occur. I have taught top-level foreign business executives to speak English fluently, and I have edited written material for foreign business professionals, doctors, scholars, and students.

FINE ART: Paintings, works on paper, and sculpture are all are purely visual, yet we must use words to talk about them. I have worked directly in the Fine Arts for a decade, and I have copyedited all levels of written material on art, for both commercial and scholarly pursuits.

FOOD WRITING: The world of food has its own vocabulary, and to describe the sense of taste using words is a unique challenge. For several years, I worked professionally as a private cook. I have copyedited for food writers, and I understand the task of evoking food through descriptive text.
